Black Lives Matter. by Norma Gallien

Our last update was to announce the postponement of our next event, due to the pandemic crisis. We’ve hunkered down and have been dormant, and like many of you, are just trying to adjust to this new and uncertain normal. But there is a new crisis, and we can’t stay quiet for this one.

Correction. This is not a new crisis. This has been an ongoing threat that stems back hundreds of years since the birthing of our nation. It is an insidious poison that has long infected our society and institutions.

It has been just been over 2 weeks since George Floyd’s death. Systemic prejudices and practices are so insidious that tragedies and injustices like his have become commonplace. We are a small organization, but we know little steps and empathic actions are still meaningful. We promise to always lead our events and live our lives upholding our belief that society needs to value the lives and humanity of minorities as much as it values the lives and humanity of white people. Black lives matter. BIPOC lives matter.

EVENT POSTPONED: Night of Gaming for Good by Matt Winberry

Updated September 1, 2020

Hello everyone. This is Matt Winberry, president of FTW Events, writing this.

tl;dr: We are postponing the event. Yes, refunds will be available. Please read this IN ITS ENTIRETY for details on how.

----

Postponed. Again. *sigh*

Your health and safety are our top priority, so we will continue rolling our event forward until it is safe to hold it. This will require King County in Washington State to be in “Phase 4” of COVID-19 re-opening.

What this means: We will be rolling all prizes and tickets to the spring ECCC weekend event on Friday, March 5th, 2021. Our new tickets will have a higher price point ($79 for GA instead of $59). Your ticket to this event will be good for the fall event at the price you already paid. So, if you know you're coming no matter what, you have no action required, and you get in for a $20 discount!

FOR THOSE WHO WANT A REFUND:

Your refund request MUST be submitted by Tuesday, September 15. Any tickets for which a refund has not been requested after this date will automatically be rolled to the fall event. NO EXCEPTIONS! I am floating the funds for refunds out of my personal bank account, so I need to be able to accurately plan. Refunds will be issued on Saturday, September 19.

TO REQUEST YOUR REFUND, Please send an email to matt@ftwevents.com with the following:

SUBJECT: Refund

In the body: Please indicate the NAMES on the tickets and the EMAIL ADDRESS you used to buy them with on shindigg.com. It's vital that you get both of these things accurate. If you have it, you can also substitute your Shindigg confirmation code in place of the email address.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding on this matter. This wasn't an easy decision... wait, yes it was. Your safety is our priority.

-Matt

That’s Pretty Clever!
Twice as Clever!

The following is an ever-evolving list of the prizes we are giving away on March 13th! We'll be adding to this up until the event, so check back often to see what's new. We are literally receiving boxes from our sponsor donors every day! Be sure to check our sponsors page often, too, as sometimes, even though they've committed, we don't know what they're sending us (it's like Christmas when we get them)!

We have several publishers that donated to us last fall but weren’t able to get the donations to us on time. That just means there’s more this time around!

Don't have tickets yet? If you like games and helping kids to boot, you definitely don't want to miss this one!
